Triton Express to Sponsor 2014 Winemakers’ Choice Awards
It is with great pleasure that Winemakers’ Choice announces that Triton Express will be joining their team as sponsor for the 2014 competition, scheduled for September of this year.
Established in 1987, Triton Express has grown from a modest business in Durban into a sophisticated nationwide operation, boasting the latest in technology and vehicles. The company currently provides express road freight distribution solutions for more than 2500 customers nationwide. With thirteen strategically located branches in South Africa’s major centres, and six cross-border branches located in Namibia, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana, Triton Express offers their customers comprehensive reach into Southern Africa. In addition to this, multiple outlying areas are catered for. Triton Express is a progressive company that believes in continual growth and improvement, and it is this adventurous spirit that has prompted its involvement with the Winemaker’s Choice competition.
The annual Winemakers’ Choice Awards is truly unique in the South African Wine industry in that it is the only wine show judged exclusively by winemakers, and representing all wine regions of South Africa. Only the top 10% of entries receive awards, which means that judging is strict and wines are awarded only on merit. The Winemakers’ Choice team is dedicated to providing a competition that continues to uphold stringent standards, while providing a support base for all entrants.
The Winemakers’ Choice team are excited to be working so closely with Triton Express. Their sponsorship and involvement will allow the 2014 Winemakers’ Choice awards to be the best vintage yet. Entries are already open and judging will commence on 1 September.

Winemakers’ Choice Awards is a key competition in the South African wine industry. The judging procedures allow for fair and unbiased results by empowering winemakers and giving them the opportunity to judge their peers’ products.
The only award show judged exclusively by winemakers, representing all wine regions of South Africa, the Winemakers’ Choice Awards is truly unique. This is further portrayed by the diamond-shaped awards sticker. Awards are given to approximately the top 10% of entrants, again setting them apart from other wine competitions in South Africa.
The exclusive achievement of a diamond sticker identifies the best quality wines on show, putting them in a class of their own. Winemakers’ Choice is dedicated to identifying excellence in wine and rendering unparalleled service to customers and entrants.
Winemakers’ Choice Awards has committed to supporting their Diamond Award winning producers, remaining the only awards show that directly generates business for the winning producer.
